Clearwater wanted us to convert datapoints from a survey into a compelling story.

Aspectus was tasked by financial software provider Clearwater Analytics to promote the findings of a survey of institutional investors in the press, weaving a narrative that would support Clearwater’s core product offerings.

Our Approach

Clearwater Analytics wanted to make better use of the datapoints that they are able to gather through regular flashpoll surveys of institutional investors, to raise their brand profile in both the business and relevant trade press. They did not have a big media profile in Europe when compared to the US, being a New York Stock Exchange listed firm, headquartered in Idaho. Aspectus’ Capital Markets team have a deep understanding of the media landscape, particularly what kind of industry insights journalists are interested in. Our team analysed the raw data, before pulling together a media campaign based on the most interesting findings, providing links through to the contemporary news agenda to make it more palatable editorially.

Results we’re proud of

Key titles

We raised Clearwater’s profile with articles in City AM, Ignites, FT Sustainable Views, Responsible Investor, Funds Europe, The Trade, and more.

30 pieces of coverage

Across 2022, we secured 30 pieces of coverage across the business and trade press, linked directly to the results of its bi-monthly flashpoll surveys.

Buy-side visibility

With the buy-side a key target audience for Clearwater Analytics, 43% of our flashpoll related media coverage was in the institutional asset management press.
